Climate Justice became 9to5’s newest issue area after realizing that many of the injustices our members face overlap with climate change. These issues inhibit our ability to thrive and live healthy lives – including a lack of access to clean air and water and poor public transit. These are just a few of the issues that we knew we needed to act on, but we wanted to know more.
Over the past year, we’ve been collecting surveys to see what climate issues are most impacting our members and their loved ones. We spread the survey far and wide digitally, knocked doors, and made phone calls until we reached our goal of collecting 300 responses. With the help of Colorado Fiscal Institute, we created a report that will give us the information we need to move forward with our climate campaign and take action!
La justicia climática se convirtió en el área temática más reciente de 9to5 después de darse cuenta de que muchas de las injusticias que enfrentan nuestros miembros se superponen con el cambio climático.
