Ogechi Oparah is the Organizing Manager for 9to5 Georgia, where she serves the programming and operational needs of organizers across the state. Her mission is to provide supportive infrastructure so that communities flourish towards collective action.

Born and raised in Georgia, Ogechi brings over 8 years of organizing experience, with a focus on volunteer coordination, local candidate support, issues advocacy, voter education, and community-building. In addition, her advocacy continued in the classroom as a public school teacher for 4 years. Ogechi earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology (with a certificate in African American Studies) from Princeton University and went on to become a National Urban Fellow, where she received her master’s in public administration from Baruch College. Outside of work, Ogechi is passionate about wellness. She enjoys dance and yoga, and obtained her first yoga teacher training certification from Breathe for Change in 2022.
