Becca Wyland

She/Her
Communications & Data Coordinator
  • Wisconsin Chapter

Becca comes to 9to5 as the Wisconsin Communications & Data Coordinator II. The opportunity to dismantle oppressive systems is why she is committed to the nonprofit sector. Becca believes that change for the world begins with one’s self, which is why she tries her best to empower others to advocate for themselves and to be autonomous in their decision making. She is passionate about gender-inclusive reproductive justice and has extensive experience in women’s and family health and birth work.

She is inspired by personal storytelling using technology. In an ever-increasing digital world, Becca believes it is important to be able to share those stories on virtual platforms and make sure access to technology is not gatekept. Her interests in technology led her to obtain a Certificate in Full Stack Web Development from the UW Extended Campus Coding Bootcamp. She also obtains a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Certificate in Gender & Women’s Studies from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

Empathy and inclusivity are among her top priorities in both her personal and professional life. Becca hopes to use her personal experiences to better understand the experiences of others and envisions a world where everyone is celebrated for their individuality and uniqueness.
