9to5 Georgia is excited to announce our 9th Annual Women’s History Celebration “I’m Every Woman” taking place virtually on Saturday, May 1st. The mission of 9to5 is to build a movement to achieve economic justice, by engaging directly affected women to improve working conditions.
This has been a bold year for 9to5 Georgia, and we are excited to celebrate our progressive wins, along with the amazing women leaders throughout our state at this year’s fundraising event.
This year’s theme is “I’m Every Woman”. This theme is a salute to every woman, in every sector across the State of Georgia that has sacrificed for our right to vote, our right to work, and to care for our families and communities. The event will highlight four women nominated by their peers for resiliency, bold advocacy and community impact during the pandemic.
Our chapter’s successes over the last 40 years have had a life-changing impact on the lives of working women, particularly women working in low-wage jobs and women of color. Our strength and longevity come from our members organizing for change on the issues that directly affect them.
