Currently, 77% of working Wisconsinites do not have access to paid leave through their jobs. This means that if they need to take time off to care for a new child, a sick family member, or themselves, they may have to choose between their job and their family. Lack of access to paid leave leads to significant financial losses for workers and their families, as well as higher costs for unemployment, hospitalizations, and healthcare.

We have an opportunity to change the lives of Wisconsin families for the better – a life where we can afford to raise a family if we choose to, care for our loved ones and ensure we have time off for our own health needs. Paid family medical leave can make that life a reality.

Contact your representatives to urge them to support the creation of the first-of-its-kind Wisconsin Paid Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) Program!
