Tammie Y. Bishop

Tammie Y. Bishop is an accomplished professional with a diverse education, workforce development, and community leadership background. With over a decade of experience, Tammie has honed her skills in workforce development and serving diverse populations, including marginalized and specialized groups.

Beginning her career in secondary education as an ESL and Migrant Family Intervention professional, Tammie‘s journey led her to the Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL), where she served as a workforce development specialist for 11 years. As the Business Services Recruiter, she collaborated with businesses, HR professionals, and community leaders to address workforce development issues and hiring needs.

Tammie‘s passion for serving others stems from her belief in the power of hope and is driven by her dedication to making a positive impact in the lives of others. She is known for her interpersonal skills and ability to help others to have confidence or find purpose in their careers.

A graduate of Georgia Southern University with degrees in History and Spanish, Tammie is committed to lifelong learning. She continually pursues opportunities and training to increase her knowledge, strengthen her skills, and to be a better leader.

She enjoys spending her time with family and friends, volunteering within the faith-based community, being physically active and attending local and regional festivals.
