Job Announcement: Interim State Director for 9to5 Colorado
9to5 Colorado seeks an experienced non-profit manager to lead and coordinate the ongoing work of the chapter. The Interim Director will support chapter staff, maintain Board communication, and oversee ongoing fundraising and development work. 9to5 was founded in 1973 as a grassroots membership organization to strengthen women’s ability to work for economic justice. Our goals are to build leadership and power among low-wage working women to win improvements in workplace and public policy. Some of 9to5 Colorado’s current campaigns include: paid family and medical leave insurance, equal pay, renter’s rights and anti-displacement, and affordable transit. 9to5 is a movement-building organization that works to build solidarity across diverse communities impacted by injustice.
1. Staff supervision and direction
Coordinate/assist with recruitment, interviewing, hiring of new staff, on-boarding and supervision of possible interns. Positions would include full or part-time Admin, Development/Communications and Organizer II. Potential role in recruitment process of permanent State Director. Coordinate regular chapter staff meetings, handle personnel-related issues
Assist with coordination of funder relationships, ensure that reports and proposals are submitted on time, oversee and coordinate the work of development consultant and new Development/Communications staffer.
Coordinate annual Year End Team Giving campaign and other chapter grassroots fundraising events, oversee donor communications
3. Chapter Board liaison
Maintain regular chapter Board meetings, coordinate communication between staff and Board.
4. Office management
Serve as main contact with office landlord, possibly assist with search for new office space. Coordinate all financial processing and reporting with Financial Coordinator and Operations Manager (WI) and overall chapter coordination with Organizing Director (GA).
Details: This is a short term position, of 25-30 hrs/week with a commitment of 6 months required, anticipated duration of 3-6 months. Wage rate of $35/hr. Paid sick time accrual of 1 hour per 30 hours worked.
