9to5 COVID-19
Response & Resources
—
In the face of the global COVID-19 emergency, 9to5 remains firmly grounded in our belief that together – our collective resilience, creativity, & commitment to economic justice will help weather this storm. This page houses 9to5 responses and collected community resources as we continue to navigate these changing times.
9to5 is responding by doing what we do best—amplifying women’s voices, getting out in the community to listen and bring folks together, and organizing for the real changes needed to create a world of justice and equality for everyone.
Person Centered Policy Advocacy
We continue to advocate policy solutions that put people first and to push our legislators at the local, state, and federal level to be as inclusive as possible. We are actively engaged in the fight for Paid Leave for All and are members of the national coordinated campaign, advocating for a comprehensive and inclusive federal paid family and medical leave program with bipartisan support by 2023. Our chapters are working on local initiatives such as a push for emergency paid leave in Wisconsin and a demand for rent & mortgage moratorium in Colorado.

Prioritizing Community Care
We are living through some unprecedented times that calls for creativity. 9to5 is intensely rooted in beliefs of interdependence and community care. We have launched the 9to5 Rapid Response Care Fund in response to stories and calls from our community about the pressing needs arising from COVID-19. This fund will provide economic assistance to members in this time of uncertainty – because we know that those most vulnerable to the health & economic impacts of the crisis are also those most likely to be carved out of emergency legislation.
