Atlanta Community Justice Fellowship Program Summer 2022 Application Open

9to5 Georgia is a state based chapter of 9to5 National Association of Working Women, a 49 year old non-profit organization working towards economic equity for working women and their families. 9to5 has been advancing economic justice for women, grounding our work through a racial and gender justice lens. As a grassroots, membership-based organization, our members are affected by the issues we work on every day: low-wage jobs, the erosion of a social safety net, the lack of paid sick time and paid family leave, unemployment, and workplace discrimination. Our programs include grassroots organizing, leadership development and training, nonpartisan civic engagement and policy change campaigns. For more information, see our website at www.9to5.org.

The Community Justice Fellowship provides a 12 week, stipend-supported, on-the-job organizer training program for directly-affected women leaders. Our CJFP trains active, grassroots members to build our base through outreach and recruitment; to engage in grassroots organizing; to develop and execute campaign strategies; to develop effective messaging and gain media skills for issue campaigns, and to engage in policy-level advocacy to advance economic justice for women.

In Atlanta (surrounding counties), the Community Justice Fellows will support our campaigns to advance more equitable family-centric policies. Community Justice Fellows are the next wave women leaders who help lead our workers rights campaign work and recruit other members.
