What if I don’t have a government ID?
If you need a state-issued ID, go to the Department of Driver Services or your local Board of Election Office to obtain a free voter identification card.
Don’t forget to take one of the following documents: a photo identification document, birth certificate, evidence that you are registered to vote in this state (voter card), or documentation showing your name and residence address.
How do I obtain an absentee ballot?
To vote by absentee ballot, you must first fill out, sign, and submit an absentee ballot application. You can do this online, by mail, fax, or in person. Absentee ballots may be requested between 78 days of the election and the last Friday before Election Day.
On Election Day, you must vote at your designated polling place. You can find your assigned polling location on your voter registration card by logging into the Secretary of State’s My Voter Page or contacting your County Board of Registrar’s Office. You can also register to vote on our website here.
Yes! You can vote early from Oct 15, 2024 – Nov. 1, 2024, at your Early Voting Locations at www.mvp.sos.ga.gov. Remember, you can also cast your ballot early on Oct. 20, 2024, and Oct. 27, 2024, when all counties hold Mandatory Saturday Voting. Remember to confirm your Early Voting Day location, as it will likely differ from where you vote on Election Day.
