9to5 stands with the community—the hard-working neighbors, parents, friends, and allies—who are at the center of the fight against authoritarianism in this country. As the regime sows fear and chaos and prevents us from exercising our right to protest, we know we must join in our collective power through the kind of resistance we know works—organizing.

Americans across races, backgrounds, and parties value our freedoms. But the current ruling regime of the bullies for the billionaires has unleashed the military and law enforcement on our families and turned our government into a weapon against our people. In an illegal power grab, this regime plans to send Marines and the National Guard into our neighborhoods in an escalation toward a future we cannot and will not accept. And let’s be clear- it is an illegal power grab, and now is the time to stand together and resist.

This overreach jeopardizes every community’s safety and our dream of a future where women and nonbinary people of color thrive in an economically just world. Make no mistake, this is a test to see what this regime can get away with, and we must hold the line.

In Colorado, our team refuses to give an inch. Governor Polis is reportedly pressuring the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment to hand over private information from state-run programs, including Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMILI), to ICE. All people of Colorado, no matter where they came from, deserve access to programs like FAMLI without fear and without worrying if the information they provide will be used against them.

We demand that our elected officials in Los Angeles, Colorado, and across the country stand against ICE and the fascists who endanger our futures and our very existence. We must hold the Trump regime that empowers and emboldens them accountable.

We call on every one of you, our members, our community, and our allies, to stand with the people of Los Angeles, Denver, and everywhere that people are living in fear. No matter where you are, you can stand with us by showing up in your communities, by showing up in the streets, making donations, and contacting elected officials.
