Last week, 13 members of the Georgia Infant-Toddler Coalition, including 9to5 Georgia, released a letter related to Georgia’s draft Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) State Plan released in May.  

The CCDF State Plan is the primary mechanism used to determine a state’s compliance with federal rules and its application for federal funding used to fund Georgia’s Childcare and Parent Services (CAPS) Program and related professional development activities.  

We hope that the contents of this letter, including recommendations related to soliciting feedback and communicating with key stakeholders (e.g., child care providers, families), will inform the state’s efforts to finalize and implement this plan over the next three years and ultimately set up Georgia’s child care system to better support families and providers.  

The members of the Coalition are committed to advocating to local, state, and federal lawmakers for the types of investments that providers, educators, and families need. Letter can be found below:
