Hi Friend,
Last year we organized to help pass the Mobile Home Park Water Quality Act – a policy to address the growing issue of poor water quality in Colorado mobile home communities. HB23-1257 created a testing program to address the issue and set remediation plans in motion. On May 4th, we are co-hosting a second listening session in Denver with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment to educate our community about the new law, share updates, and hear from residents about water quality issues affecting them. If you weren’t able to attend our past event in Boulder or you are interested in hearing more about the program, join us for our upcoming session. Visit 9to5.org/water to learn more and register.

Tell us your FAMLI experience!
|
Since the launch of Colorado’s first paid family leave program in January, over 45k claims have been filed and millions of dollars have been distributed to reimburse workers for their paid time off to take care of serious life events. 9to5 Colorado worked for more than a decade to bring FAMLI to life and we are thrilled to finally see the program in action. Now, we want to ensure it remains a quality state program for all workers. If you’ve applied or thought about applying to FAMLI, we invite you to take this survey about your experience.

‘For Cause Eviction’ Signed by Polis!
|
As co-chair of the Colorado Homes for All coalition, this is a big moment for us. We are thrilled to see “For Cause Eviction” signed into law. We’re grateful for the tireless work of our members, partner organizations and bill sponsors. Now, we’re excited to see the Governor get this bill past the finish line.
This campaign is only a part of our long-term housing goals, and right now, we’re taking time to reflect and celebrate this win and tell everyone how we as 9to5 and the Colorado Homes for All Coalition have built community power.
