9to5 Milwaukee
- Local Chapter: Milwaukee

9to5’s work in Milwaukee has been instrumental in policy changes on issues affecting low-wage women for over two decades. We are a grassroots membership organization made up of low-income women, women transitioning from welfare to work, and women who have experienced discrimination or harassment on the job.

Come join us as we talk about how to strategically dialog with elected officials and voice your thoughts on various issues within your communities. This training will help you to understand how officials think and how you can make an impact on the things they sponsor and refuse to sponsor.
In preparing for the Milwaukee Jobs Act and Childcare actions, we will be having a MEDIA TRAINING DAY! 9to5 has teamed up with Citizen Action of Wisconsin to get the word out. We know that your voice matters and want you to be as prepared as possible to share your story. So come out and learn how to prepare a letter to the editor (LTE) and speak with media.
Alderman Ashanti Hamilton has agreed to sponsor a Milwaukee Jobs Act. Women make up over half of the potential workforce in the city, and we need to make sure that any jobs agenda includes good jobs for women. Come join your neighbors and let your elected officials know what you think should be in the Milwaukee Jobs Act.
