Potluck starts at 5:30 — bring something to share if you can!

At 6 we’ll be watching The Fight in the Fields, an uncut version of a non-traditional documentary. The Fight in the Fields follows the first successful organizing drive of farm workers in the United States, while recounting the many failed and dramatic attempts to unionize that led up to this victory. Dedicated to non-violence, Cesar Chavez built the United Farm workers Union and convinced millions of Americans to support the farm workers’ struggle for dignity. Farm workers struggle with wage theft every day.
