On August 26th, something pretty amazing happened. 9to5 members in 16 states and 23 cities participated in the annual Day of Action on August 26th! Action Network members reached out to their communities in lots of different ways.

  • Yolanda Bucio tabled at a farmer’s market in downtown Houston, Texas.
  • Andy Ritchie talked to friends about paid family leave and got them to sign pledge cards in Burlington, Vermont.
  • Cathy Deppe organized a group of members to do outreach at a busy metro stop in Los Angeles, California.

From Georgia to New York, Wisconsin to Arizona, we went to local farmer’s markets, bus stops, college campuses and playgrounds to let everyone know that it’s time to do better.

It’s time for everyone to be able to have access to paid sick days, family care days and family and medical leave insurance. It’s time to build on the Family Medical Leave Act’s 20 years of success by making leave more accessible and affordable. It’s time to reach out to the people in our lives and let them know that we can make a difference if we come together.

Didn’t get a chance to participate on August 26th? It’s not to late to join in! Sign our on-line pledge card and check out photos from the Day of Action!

Congratulations to everyone for once again making this year’s Day of Action a success!
