Nominate a Leader in the Movement to Celebrate 9to5’s 40th Anniversary

Know of a Leader in the Movement for Economic Justice? Nominate them for one of 9to5’s Special 40th Anniversary Awards!

This year, 9to5 is celebrating 40 years of winning justice for working women! This fall, 9to5 will be hosting events in Atlanta, Denver, Milwaukee, and Los Angeles to mark this special occasion. Join us in honoring outstanding 9to5 members and businesses that represent the spirit of 9to5’s mission to improve working conditions for low-wage women and build a movement for economic justice. The following two awards will be given to members and businesses from each of the Atlanta, Denver, and Milwaukee Chapters, as well as the At-Large/Action Network.

The 9to5 Lilly Ledbetter Award recognizes the contributions of 9to5 members who have been affected by an injustice and are now leading the fight to fix it. Nominees’ actions should demonstrate leadership and organizing that has resulted in concrete change in their own personal life and/or in one or more 9to5 issue campaigns.

The 9to5 Trendsetter Award for Outstanding Workplace Policy applauds the specific policy of a for-profit business that falls within one or more of 9to5’s three issue areas: work flexibility, family-supporting jobs, and equal opportunity in the workplace. 9to5 seeks to recognize the efforts of businesses that offer quality jobs and a family-friendly, fair and diverse workplace.

If you know of a local or regional business that deserves to be recognized for an outstanding policy or practice, nominate them for the 9to5 Trendsetter Award.
